Gianna Gilstrap is a standout softball player from Blue Valley High School in Kansas and a Class of 2027 Michigan State softball commit. A versatile athlete, Gianna competes at both catcher and first base and is known for her competitive spirit, strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication to the game. Gianna is a power hitter at the plate and has established herself as one of the most dangerous offensive players in Kansas high school softball. She currently holds Blue Valley High School records for career home runs and single-season home runs, as well as RBIs, showcasing her ability to consistently produce at a high level. She has earned 1st Team 6A All-State, 1st Team Eastern Kansas League, and 2nd Team 6A All-State honors, establishing herself as one of Kansas’ most accomplished young softball players. Her commitment to excellence extends beyond the field, where she maintains an impressive 3.9 GPA. When she’s not playing softball, Gianna enjoys working out, swimming, crafting, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She values the relationships in her life and enjoys staying active, trying new things, and making memories with the people around her. Gianna is proud to represent Blue Valley High School and excited for the next chapter of her athletic and academic journey at Michigan State University.
